LAN network on my mac to play games?

How can I make a LAN network on my mac to play games. The games I want to play are Asphalt 6, Modern Combat Domination, and Call of Duty 2. I want to play with my friends, I have an iMac 27" (2010), and a MacBook Pro (2011), and all my friends also have the same MacBook Pro, I would want to host the games on my MacBook Pro or iMac. Could anyone explain how to setup the LAN?
